Lesson Description

Hunt seat equitation lessons are dedicated to learning horsemanship and proper form on a horse. Equitation lessons are for beginner through advanced riders working on improving the basic walk, trot, and canter. Beginner lessons will include ground polls and other basics of learning to jump and flat patterns. Intermediate lessons are designed for riders who have the basics of jumping and are ready to start jumping courses. Advanced lessons are designed for the riders that are currently jumping courses and are ready to learn the more advanced course jumping.

Hunt seat Equitation: Hour Private – 45

Semi Private – 35 (Max 3)

Team Lessons are for our NCEL team riders as practice specifically for horse shows. These lessons will take place every other Saturday and are a requirement in addition to your regularly scheduled lesson to participate on the team. They will include one hour of riding and one hour of preparation and socialization. An early dinner will be provided for our team members. On the day before a show is to be held at our facility the team will be required to spend an extended period of time helping set up jump courses and getting the horses presentable.

Team Lessons – 25

Jumper lessons are only given on a private basis to give the individual the focus needed to deal with the technical aspects of the jumper world. Horse and rider teams should come warmed up on the flat to all half hour lessons ready to jump. Hour lessons are dedicated to horse and rider teams that need more help warming up properly. These lessons are for advanced riders only who are successfully jumping courses.

Jumper: ½ Hour Private – 40

Hour Private – 70

Dressage lessons are only given on a private basis. The focus is based on the riders goals and basic skill sets. We do not recommend dressage lessons until a rider is able to walk, trot, and canter with reasonable control and be beginning to sit the trot and ride without stirrups.

Dressage: Hour Private - 45

Carriage Driving lessons are given on a private basis. We focus on teaching proper form for driver and horse using low level obstacles and dressage movements. You will learn about the harness and how to harness the horse properly for safety and security of horse, driver, and passengers. Driving is a great way to interact with horses for everyone!
